PROGESS UPDATE ON OUR NEW JAAN HQ: We are almost there! We cant believe that next week we are going to move to our new place! We would like to thank ALL of you who have donated building materials, doors, frames, cement, gypsum, ceiling fans etc. & to those who have given financial support. We are very, very greatful for all the help we have received & could NOT have done it without you!
Lets hope that our new place will be a comfortable & happy place for both our animals as well as our team! Lets hope we can live there in peace with no problems whatsoever in the future! THANK YOU
On November 2nd we had our official launch of our Dog Meat Free Indonesia (DMFI) campaign joined by many Indonesian public figures & media!
The launch & press conference in Jakarta, DMFI representatives presented the findings of our investigations to the national and international media; and our wonderful celebrity ambassadors, Sophia Latjuba and Gamaliel Tapiheru, spoke passionately about their love of dogs and wish for an end to the inherently cruel trade. Their message was clear: “claims of culture and tradition by proponents of the dog meat trade can never be an excuse for cruelty”.
Sophia and Gamaliel are just two of our celebrity ambassadors who participated in our campaign video, “I didn’t know”, alongside Ricky Gervais, Joanna Lumley, Peter Egan, and Chelsea Islan. Watch the film here.

Many animals were badly injured, including cows. Their udders were burnt so bad the calves could not drink milk! Even though it hasn’t gotten that badm. We, with our joint team, are following these same procedures again to help the animals at Mount Agung & strive to make sure all abandoned pets, strays, live stock etc. are as safe & looked after as possible!

Right now, Mount Agung (Gunung Agung) in Bali, has been rumbling & threatening to erupt. Many locals around the area (approx. 144,00 people) have been evacuated, but what about the animals? Many are leaving their pets/livestock behind & many stray animals are also in danger!
Our joint team consisting of other animal rescue groups (BARC 4 Bali Dogs, Bali Pet Crusaders, COP, iAnimals Indonesia & of course JAAN) are doing our best to help the animals over there in anyway we can. We have evacuated many, built temporary shelters for live stock (away from the red zones) & are continuing to do daily trips to feed any animals that cannot be evacuated.

We are always in need for feed, like cow, pig, chicken feed as well as donations to be able to buy other supplies like water tanks etc. we are also helping any locals we come across in any way we can.
