Domestic Animals
Sadly, the welfare of domestic animals in Jakarta is often atrocious. Many pet owners believe that they are taking adequate care of their companion animals but in fact the animals are being neglected and abused. JAAN is committed to improving the general well being of all domestic animals.
Adoption
Adoption gives animals a second chance in life. Often pet animals are dumped by irresponsible owners and end up either on the street or in the local animal shelter.
Marine
The protection of marine life is essential and we help to protect the marine ecosystem within the Thousand Islands. Global warming has a major impact on the reef and on all marine life. By 'reef check' we can observe the effects of global warming. Raising awareness is the key to changing a negative lifestyle and to maintaining a healthy ecosystem.
